Barb sent me this today. It's a Dove ad, part of their Campaign for Real Beauty. It speaks volumes....and frankly, that overwhelming torrent of judgemental messages they portray so well, is kind of how I feel most days....

You know, this is a slightly different version than the one I saw. But it's still really overwhelming when you think about the messages we have to somehow counter with our daughters. I am constantly talking to my girls about that but you know, I'm just the mom. I'm not that boy in High-school Musical or the girl who was fired for having nude photos taken...
This world. It so scares me for my girls.
On the positive side, though, my word verification is ohfnozy. Like, "Oh, f'nosy!" Because, of course, that makes a lot more sense.
I'm a little punchy. It's Friday.
Why in the world don't companies show these type ads in America?
